In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Symmetry.”
Paddington Reservoir Gardens, in Sydney. The original reservoir was built in 1866 and decommissioned as a reservoir in 1899. It was used as a municipal facility (motor vehicle service station and general storage facility) until 1990 and it reopened as a sunken garden in 2008. The arches in the modern roof echo the original arches and provide some shade to the garden below.
